Viopol’s CEO, Christos Kahramanoglou, recently gave an insightful interview to Capital.gr and Forbes Greece, discussing the company’s journey and future aspirations. As Viopol celebrates its 50th anniversary, Mr. Kahramanoglou shared his thoughts and vision for our company’s future.
Viopol specializes in the development and production of innovative polyurethane systems, offering tailor-made solutions that meet the highest demands of the industry and construction sector. With the motto “Creating PURe Value,” we focus on delivering added value to all our stakeholders, maintaining a human-centered approach to leadership.
One of Viopol’s greatest competitive advantages is our strong and inspiring culture. We have developed a culture that challenges traditional management methods and promotes conscious capitalism. Trust is the foundation of this culture, encouraging our employees to take initiatives, express their ideas, and develop their creativity. We are proud to be recognized as a “High Trust Workplace” by Great Place to Work, affirming our commitment to create a safe and supportive work environment.
As part of our investment plans for 2024, we are expanding our factory, which will double our production and storage capacity while allowing us to operate with 80% renewable energy sources. Additionally, we are planning to recruit our Board of Directors with distinguished international executives from various fields, whose experience will help us achieve our strategic goals.
Our goal is international growth through strategic partnerships. The completion of our investment in the new production unit in Schimatari enables us to reach 140 million euros. We work closely with our customers to develop innovative and sustainable products, leveraging our 50 years of experience and our state-of-the-art R&D Center.
Christos Kahramanoglou, as a leader, expresses pride, responsibility, and gratitude for his role. He is proud to lead an organization characterized by empathy, care, participation, and creativity. He has the responsibility to create a safe work environment that promotes work-life integration, and he feels grateful for the trust he receives daily from his team.
According to Mr. Kahramanoglou, the role of the CEO is to encourage and support the personal development of all members of the organization, who in turn will take care of the company’s growth. Through the continuous cultivation of a culture that promotes the upskilling and reskilling of employees, we aim to attract and retain new talent, ensuring our sustainability.
Compliance with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles is a key condition for securing funding and growth. At Viopol, we see ESG as a development tool that helps us adopt higher standards and reduce our environmental footprint, promoting social responsibility and operating with transparency and integrity. We are proud to be members of the UN Global Compact, the largest corporate sustainability initiative.
Under Christos Kahramanoglou’s leadership, Viopol steadily moves towards a future filled with innovation and sustainable growth, fostering a culture that inspires and empowers its people, achieving significant success in the global business arena.
